We are currently offering three different kinds of self adhesive grip:

  • Micro-textured black rubber Overgrip is a grip solution for humid/sweaty situations that installs on top of your current grip and will not damage most grips when removed.  It is not padded like standard grip so most people will find it too thin to be comfortably used by itself as a contact grip.
  • Black Rubber Pyrate Grip is a grip solution for humid/sweaty situations that includes our popular Overgrip packaged together with a separate lightweight foam backing.
  • Durable rubber Acro Staff Grip (2nd image) is a sports grip that we use on our acro staffs. It is 42" long and 2mm thick with a peel off adhesive backing for easy application (overlap edges when installing). One roll will cover approximately 12" when wrapped on a 7/8" staff. Two rolls will cover approximately 24" when both rolls are wrapped outward from a center marker. Four rolls will cover approximately 48" when wrapped outward from a center marker two rolls at a time.

When installing Overgrip and Pyrate Grip, make sure to butt edges up against themselves - do not overlap the edges like Acro Grip.
Strips are sold in 3 lengths:
10 feet - up to 36" of grip area on a gripped 3/4" diameter staff or 34" of grip area on a gripped 7/8" diameter staff
15 feet - up to 57" of grip area on a gripped 3/4" diameter staff or 52" of grip area on a gripped 7/8" diameter staff
20 feet - up to 76" of grip area on a gripped 3/4" diameter staff or 68" of grip area on a gripped 7/8" diameter staff

Wow...

This grip tape feels like I'm cheating, it's absolutely incredible. Someone at a festival recommended ninja pyrate and I am so thankful they did! I've tried many different tapes and none compare. I'm about buy another roll so I can wrap all my contact staves.

WOW, I've had 5 different types of grip and this is by far the BEST ever. The grip is phenomenal, super grippy but not sticky so easy on the arms and very comfortable. No more sliding down my sweaty arms. I am placing another today and re-grip all of my staffs!!

Tape review

Overgrip is by far the best grip tape I've used. Even in moist environments, sweaty hands, wet arms the grip grabs strong. It doesn't pull arm hair or snag. High quality one can feel and smooth. The foam backing is a good option for those who want extra padding on their hard staffs (maybe helpful for lots of tosses or hard hits). I found the foam backing unnecessary with the NinjaPyrate staff because of the silicone thats already on the staff is enough for my needs. But on other staffs I can see it as very helpful. Thanks NinjaPyrate!
